HOSENERGIE is a cooperative committed to transforming energy access through sustainable, affordable, and community-driven solutions. We are dedicated to bridging the energy gap in Cameroon and Africa by deploying innovative renewable energy technologies that empower communities, promote economic growth, and foster environmental sustainability.
Our organization was founded on the belief that clean energy is a fundamental right, not a privilege. By leveraging solar, wind, biogas, micro-hydro, and waste-to-energy solutions, we are helping businesses, homes, and institutions access reliable and sustainable energy.
Through capacity building, entrepreneurship development, and policy advocacy, HOSENERGIE is leading the movement toward a greener, more inclusive, and energy-secure future for all.

Our History

HOSENERGIE was founded to tackle the severe energy crisis affecting Cameroon and Sub-Saharan Africa. Over 600 million people in Africa still lack access to electricity, including 29% of the population in Cameroon, with the majority residing in rural areas (World Bank, Trading Economics).
The high cost of fossil fuels, deforestation, and climate change have intensified the need for a community-driven and technology-based approach to sustainable energy solutions.

Green Adventure

  • Harnessing the Power of Solar for Sustainable Electricity Generation

Key Milestones:

  • Founding Vision: A team of experts in renewable energy, technology, and business came together to form HOSENERGIE, focused on solving Africa’s energy access challenges.
  • First Clean Energy Projects: We launched pilot projects that provided solar and biogas energy to rural communities.
  • Entrepreneurship & Training: Recognizing the need for technical skills, we developed vocational training programs for youth and women to boost employment in the renewable energy sector.
  • Policy & Stakeholder Engagement: We partnered with government agencies, private companies, and NGOs to advocate for favorable clean energy policies.
  • Scalability & Impact: Today, HOSENERGIE has implemented hundreds of projects, benefiting thousands of households, businesses, and institutions.
